Hong Kong to Macau by Private Chauffeur: One Car via the HZMB Bridge (2026 Guide)
Travelling between Hong Kong and Macau by road used to mean a long ride and a change of transport at the border. Since the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge (HZMB) opened, the crossing runs 24 hours a day, and the road distance from Hong Kong Port to Zhuhai Port and Macao Port is about 42 km, roughly 40 minutes, according to the HZMB Hong Kong Section. A pre-booked chauffeur car lets you make that crossing in one vehicle, with one driver, from your pick-up point to your Macau address.
How the journey works
1. Your chauffeur meets you at your hotel, home, office, or at Hong Kong International Airport (name sign at Arrival Hall A or B).
2. The car drives to the Hong Kong Port of the HZMB, where immigration and customs clearance takes place. Visitors normally clear immigration at the counter or e-Channel, and everyone arriving in Hong Kong declares dutiable or controlled items through the red/green channel system.
3. After clearance you continue in the same car across the bridge. There is no change of vehicle after immigration.
4. Your chauffeur takes you to your hotel or address in Macau.
