Hong Kong Airport Transfer Guide 2026: Fares, Booking and Pickup Explained

Hong Kong airport transfer is one of the most searched terms among business travellers, families and cross-border passengers, yet prices, vehicle types and the best time to book vary enormously. This guide brings together the latest 2026 fares, the booking process and where you will be picked up on arrival, and also covers common scenarios such as early-morning flights, cross-border routes and child safety seats. At Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), families with bulky luggage, business travellers landing late at night and passengers heading on to Shenzhen or Macau, booking a professional Hong Kong airport transfer is often the stress-free choice. Luxury Gateway’s airport-based chauffeurs know the layout of every HKIA terminal and can significantly cut your waiting time after you land.
Why Choose a Hong Kong Airport Transfer Over a Taxi
Comparing cost and time
Taking an urban taxi to or from the airport is convenient, but the fare often ends up over budget once luggage charges and tunnel tolls are added. The Airport Express is fast, but it only serves prime locations on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon. A professional Hong Kong airport transfer, by contrast, is a door-to-door service with transparent pricing and no changes along the way, which makes it especially well suited to older passengers, families with children and corporate hospitality.
Luggage, privacy and the ride itself
Airport transfer vehicles are mostly saloons or seven-seater MPVs, so your luggage can be stowed neatly in the boot rather than squeezed into the cabin, and the chauffeur will help you load it. For business travellers who need to work or take calls on the move, a private rear cabin is far more comfortable than a taxi.
Main Airport Transfer Pricing Options in 2026
Mercedes-Benz S-Class — business travellers
Ideal for executives, couples and solo travellers who want a quiet, private rear cabin. Please enquire for S-Class airport transfer fares.
Seven-seater (Toyota Alphard / Vellfire, Mercedes-Benz V-Class) — up to 6 passengers
Our seven-seaters take up to 6 passengers and 4 large checked cases. Airport transfer fares start from HK$650 (Kowloon), HK$750 (Hong Kong Island North) and HK$850 (Island South / The Peak), including tunnel and bridge tolls. Child seats can be fitted on request.
Groups of 7 or more
A seven-seater carries a maximum of 6 passengers, so parties of 7 or more travel in two or more vehicles. Coaches can be arranged for large group shuttles – please enquire.
For routes and fares, see the official HKIA transport page to compare the latest taxi, bus and Airport Express prices.
Booking Process and Timings
Standard booking (24 hours before your flight)
Send your flight number, arrival time, number of passengers and pickup location via WhatsApp or our online booking system. We confirm the vehicle model, your chauffeur’s name and contact details by WhatsApp.
Instant / same-day transfers
If your plans change at short notice, you can still book on the day; the system will dispatch the nearest available vehicle, subject to fleet availability at the time.
Early-morning, late-night and red-eye flight transfers
Red-eye flights landing between 1am and 5am are one of the scenarios Luxury Gateway handles most often. We track your flight in real time and adjust the pickup to its actual arrival. Free waiting is 60 minutes, counted from when your aircraft reaches the gate; after that, waiting is charged at HK$100 per 15 minutes. A midnight fee of HK$200 per vehicle applies to arrivals between 23:00 and 07:00.
Cross-border routes: Shenzhen, Macau, Dongguan
Our dual-plate (Hong Kong–Mainland) vehicles take you through in the same car. For Shenzhen and Dongguan we use Huanggang (open 24 hours), Shenzhen Bay (private cars 6:30am–midnight) or Heung Yuen Wai / Liantang (7am–10pm); Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Macau go via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. For details, see the Immigration Department website for control point opening hours. Hong Kong–Shenzhen transfers start from HK$1,500 one way; Macau from HK$2,700.

Where to Meet Your Car on Arrival
Meeting point: Arrival Hall A or B
Luxury Gateway chauffeurs wait at Arrival Hall A or B (as per the HKIA app) holding a name sign with the passenger’s name (Meet & Greet, HK$150 per party). We send the exact meeting point by WhatsApp before you land.

Luggage, Safety and Add-on Services
Child safety seats and prams
HK$100 per seat. We carry rear-facing infant carriers and forward-facing child seats; please request them at least 24 hours in advance and tell us your child’s age and weight.
Corporate hospitality: dignitaries, companies, celebrities
For VIP and corporate arrivals, tell us your requirements when booking and we will coordinate with your team or accompanying security staff. Corporate clients can apply for monthly settlement.
Accessibility for older passengers
Wheelchairs and mobility aids should be mentioned when booking so the right vehicle can be arranged, and the chauffeur will help passengers in and out of the vehicle.
